Adam and Eve or monkeys?

Over last ten years I've been really saddened at how many so-called Christians call GOD and Jesus liars by claiming they are evolved from monkeys!

Just two weeks ago I popped into town's Methodist church for a simple meal and after it our table was joined by the minister.

I asked her if she was descended from Adam and Eve or evolved from monkeys.

She looked away - a bad sign? - and muttered something about there being lots of different views on the question.

I said that is why your church is empty.

So - how many people on this forum believe they are evolved from monkeys?

Satan sets the course of the world (for now and insofar as he is allowed by God). Strategically one can learn much from how an opponent uses his resources. For example, if you consider how much he is invested in evolution, one can see how important it is to him.Additionally, one might see how useful it would be to be able to get most to reject God.

Cosmology evolution - Nothing existed and then it blew up and became everything
Biological evolution = Chemicals began moving around until they became us

To get most people to believe evolution, Satan needed experts to bully laymen. To create experts he used Christians to first organize themselves into a system. He then used Christians to create universities that were seen as centers of expertise. He then drew in people who were discovering truth in God's creation of biology, physics, chemistry, etc. Once he had a monopoly on the experts, he could use this to bully anyone about anything he wanted. It was pretty clever to take the truth of God's creation as the cover legitimize political "science", social "science" and even evolution as "science".

Satan has managed to use his alternative "truth" to make a whole society vulnerable to his other deceptions. For example a hundred and fifty years ago telling people that fornication was just a simple recreational activity would have been rejected as both untrue and obscene.

Neither creation or evolution can be proven through demonstration. One either trusts God and his word or one trusts "experts".

For a humorous view, the Bishop's Gambit episode of Yes Prime Minister can be viewed.

You would be surprised by the number of people claiming to be Christian who do not believe the bible is true.
So surely they cannot claim to be Christian. For if the Bible were not true in their eyes, how can they believe in Christ? But that I guess is between God and them.

The minimum requirement to be a Christian is faith in the gospel.

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The key is faith in Christ

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Satan has been quite effective in crippling Christians with all sorts of strange doctrines and practices. However, if we can be faithful to the core, we might be able to limp into heaven.

Most people are not deep thinkers and probably don't have a Study Bible that quickly answers all questions?

You lack faith in the BIble.
The Bible clearly says no one goes to heaven.

John 3:13 Jesus says to Nicodemus, “No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven–the Son of Man.”

I prefer Jesus's word to your and all preachers.
