A bit of background.. I was christened as a child but grew up in a non religious household, christenings have always seemed like a traditional event rather than a religious declaration for our family however I'm 38 years old and have recently started exploring my faith.
I seem to be understanding more from my Bible app than my actual Bible, for those who don't have the app or the same app as me it basically prompts me with a daily verse which it explores and explains then gives me a prayer to go alongside it for a newcomer to the faith it's a very helpful tool, when I read my Bible (started new testament and currently midway through acts) I light my candles, put on some zen music softly in the back ground and have an hour or two just reading, I find it very soothing and relaxing however as said above I don't seem to be learning as much from it as I do from the Bible app.
Should I be doing more to learn from my Bible if so can any advice me how?
