Ten in biblical numbers means perfection.
Eleven in biblical numbers means defective or judgement.
Samson was judge over Israel. His weakness was forgein women.
God gives gifts. When that gift is violated, God can with draw that gift. Samson was playing games with the enemy and God doesn't like that.
Judges 16:1. Then went Samson to Gaza and saw a harlot and went in into her.
Samson killed thousands of Philistines, but had weakness for forgein women. Samson isn't using common sense.
16:4. And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of sorek, whose name was Delilah.
Sorek has two meanings. Red and wine.
Delilah in Hebrew means delicate.
Samson was under Nazarite vow to stay away from vines.
16:10. And he brake the withs as a thread of tow is broken when it touched the fire, so his strength was not known.

When you pray for something you need real bad. Don't form words in your mouth, because Satan and evil spirits are listening. They will know your weakness and use it against you. Prayer doesn't have to be spoken, God can read your mind.
When your in enemies camp, keep tight lips.

16:17. That he told her all his heart and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head for I have been nazarite unto God from my mother womb if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man.
Samson tells heathen woman Philistine all hidden secrets of God. Samson dealt himself deadly blow.
16:18. And when Delilah saw that he told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her and brought money in their hand.
Delilah knows Samson secret and is secretly betraying him to Philistines for money. She showed herself for the harlot she is..
Her mind was on money and not for him. She will disappear when Philistines have Samson. Philistines are coming and she wants that pay off fast.
No doubt she drugged Samson in some way and most likely by wine or strong drink.
16:20. And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke of his sleep and said, I will go out as at other times before and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.
When anyone defiles a gift from God, Lord will take it from you. Disobedience to his gift brought destruction on his head.
When God's spirit leaves you, you become spiritually blind. With out holy Spirit in you , you won't understand truths of God's word. Anyone toying around with spiritual harlots is headed for destruction.
Later Samson laid his hands on two pillars and Israel was in capitivty forty years before Samson was born. His death freed Israel Israel of the Philistines. Samson cried out to Lord for strength and God gave him it back to finish his mission.
16:5. And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her and said unto her, Entice him and see where in his great strength lie, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him and we will give thee every one us Eleven hundred pieces of silver.
