Is wisdom better than weapons of war?
Job 28. He sits an end to darkness and search out all perfection, the stones of darkness and the shadow of death.
There is hole in the ground that man dug, with lantern and willing to enter hole even at his own risk his life, to try to get iron or gold. When he enters the shaft, in darkness and looking for precious stones are discovered in darkness. Zophar is saying, silly are man's ways and void of God's riches.
28:9. He puts forth his hand upon rock, he over turns the mountains by the roots.
Man has dug out, and even eliminate mountains to get minerals wealth.
28:12. But when wisdom shall be found? And where is place of understanding?
Animals can dig for basic needs to survive. But they don't risk their life as men do to find gold or minerals. Only real wisdom and knowledge can come from God.
28:13..Man knows not the price thereof, neither is found in the land of the living.
Man does not know way to wisdom on his own. It can't be found in the flesh body.
28:15. It cant be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for price thereof.
When they get coal or gold or minerals, they find wisdom isn't there. For wisdom is of God, not of or in the earth,
28: 18. No mention shall be made of coral, or pearls, for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
There is no price of wisdom, you either have it or don't. Because you can't buy it or get it from someone, its gift given to person from God. Those who are sincere and diligent will find God.
28:22. Destruction and death says, we have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
Destruction is another name for Satan. Evil spirits will mislead you by mouths of false preachers. Christian people study sound doctrine so they kmow what's truth from lies.
Ecclesiastes 9:18. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.
One wise person with divine intervention upon them can accomplish more than weapons of war. Wisdom is divine battle plan that in most cases don't need weapons of war.
Its doing things God's way. Body of Christ has the victory.
Matthew 5:10. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Being persecuted for standing up for Jesus and word of God. The success of the wicked is temporary in the flesh.
5:11. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Christian people are persecuted. The persecuters are the wicked. The wicked don't have humility and discipline and wisdom from God.
5:13. Ye are salt of the earth, but if the salt lost its savour, where with shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and be trodden under foot.
Salt of the earth are disciples or servants of God. They study sound doctrine and repent.
But if you as salt of the earth lay bare on the earth, exposed to elements, you lose your savour, and salt which once full of savour and making difference, is now bland and no effect. Not fit for preserving, but for recycle pile.
Jesus is not talking about being abrasive, man or woman of God who won't sugar coat God's word. Always tell the truth. Wisdom and knowledge comes from God, its gift.
